As an IT manager in the External Data team, you’ll support the business growth strategy and lead an agile delivery team that utilizes C#, .Net, API, SQL, SSIS, Cloud, Kafka and micro service technologies. External data is used by all product lines across the company including Auto, Special Lines, Commercial Lines, Property and CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Your team is focused on providing data from external data suppliers into the Quote flow process and product models to better segment our product offerings as well as provide a better customer experience. You’ll lead and develop cross functional teams located across the United States along with external labor provided by partners for project delivery purposes. You’ll lead staff engagement and development of new skills which will be key as our organization continues to evolve in our agile journey while pursuing continuous improvement opportunities.

This is a remote position with occasional travel to an office for a meeting and/or training.

Must-have qualifications
  • Minimum four years of work experience managing professionals, technologies, architecture, or project delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Business Management) and a minimum of one year of work experience managing professionals, technologies, architecture, or project delivery

Preferred skills:
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing, coaching and developing the careers of developers, testers and analysts
  • Agile mindset and Lean Leadership experience
  • Demonstrated strengths in leading agile delivery teams
  • Demonstrated strengths in IT service management (service and process ownership)
  • Proven ability to build relationships

Compensation
  • $136,340-$160,400/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
