Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for leading the company’s information technology function, ensuring that enterprise systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business applications effectively support operational execution, growth, and strategic priorities.
This role leads a team of internal IT professionals and serves as the primary liaison between IT and business functions including Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, HR, and Executive Leadership.
The IT Manager will oversee daily IT operations while driving system improvements, ERP optimization, business intelligence capabilities, and long-term technology roadmap development.
- This is in-office position in East Rutherford, NJ 4x a week
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT Leadership & Team Management
-
Lead and develop a team of 5 IT professionals, including Solutions Architect, Business System Analysts and IT Administrators / Support
-
Establish clear priorities, accountability, and service standards across the team
-
Manage workload balancing between strategic initiatives and daily support needs
-
Develop technical capabilities and succession depth within the IT function
-
Oversee external vendors, consultants, and managed service providers where applicable
2. ERP & Business Systems Ownership (Current ERP: Aspen Systems – Canopy)
-
Own overall health, performance, and optimization of ERP platform and related business systems
-
Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales and Customer Service to improve system effectiveness and document current processes and system capabilities

Ensure strong master data discipline across products, customers, vendors, and inventory
-
Led or key contributor to an RFP and ultimate implementation of a new ERP system
3. Business Process Improvement
-
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes across the business (OTC, production visibility)
-
Partner with business leaders to redesign workflows using technology
-
Support reporting improvements, dashboards, and analytics capability
-
Ensure systems support scalable business processes as company grows
4. Infrastructure & Daily IT Operations

Oversee:

Ensure uptime and performance of critical systems supporting production and office operations

5. Cybersecurity & Risk Management

6. Data & Reporting Enablement

7. Technology Roadmap & Strategic Planning

Build and maintain 2–3 year IT roadmap aligned with business priorities

Evaluate future technology investments

Lead business case development for major systems initiatives

Ensure technology supports growth, margin improvement, and operational efficiency
8. Vendor & Budget Management
-
Manage IT budget and spending priorities
-
Negotiate software licenses, service agreements, and vendor contracts
-
Ensure vendor performance and cost effectiveness

Preferred Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
-
7–10+ years IT experience
-
3–5+ years leadership experience
-
Manufacturing / food / CPG environment strongly preferred
-
Experience with Google, AWS or Microsoft/Azure cloud solutions
-
Knowledge of database structures, configurations and administration including SQL and Microsoft Azure database
-
Experience working with integrations between systems (ERP, HR systems, APIs, etc.)
-
Experience improving or automating business processes
-
ERP leadership experience required and experience managing cross-functional business systems

What We Offer

The expected compensation for this role is $135,000- $165,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
