We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Network Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, a deep understanding of various network hardware and software technologies, and a proactive approach to ensuring network performance, security, and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Implementation: Assist in the design and deployment of functional enterprise networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
- Network Maintenance & Monitoring: Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for network-related issues. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems. Replace faulty network hardware components when required.
- Security: Configure and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
- Vendor Management: Work with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and project implementation.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure the network meets current and future business requirements.
- Policy & Protocol: Implement and enforce network policies and procedures. Stay current with latest technologies and protocols.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Proven experience 2-3 years as a Network Specialist or Network Administrator
- Technical Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with network hardware ( routers, switches, firewalls)
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols and switching protocols ( STP, VLANs, VTP).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and other network protocols.
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Familiarity with firewall and security concepts and administration.
- Experience with Wireless LAN controllers and access points.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex IT concepts to non-technical colleagues.
