IT Officer

Job Summary

The IT Officer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures systems run smoothly, security standards are upheld, and employees receive timely technical support. The IT Officer also assists in implementing new technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical Support

• Provide first-level and second-level technical support to staff (hardware, software, network issues).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, and other office equipment.
• Maintain and update software applications and operating systems.

2. Network & System Management

• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
• Ensure regular backup and recovery of data.
• Maintain servers, firewalls, and network devices (if applicable).

3. IT Security

• Implement and enforce IT security policies.
• Monitor systems for security breaches, malware, and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure antivirus software, patches, and updates are regularly applied.

4. System Administration

• Manage email systems, cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and business applications.
• Oversee system upgrades, maintenance schedules, and license renewals.
• Document IT procedures, configurations, and asset inventory.

5. Technology Improvement

• Evaluate new hardware and software solutions to improve productivity.
• Assist in IT projects, system rollouts, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Train staff on new technologies and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Support Technician, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, operating systems (Windows/Mac), and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with server management, cloud services, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
