IT Operations and Security Specialist

Compensation: $750 – $1000 USD per month (based on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations & Security Specialist to support and enhance our global IT infrastructure. This role ensures secure, reliable, and compliant operations within a 24/7 environment.

You’ll take a hands-on approach to system monitoring, incident management, and security operations, while working within industry-standard frameworks such as SOC, NIST, and CIS Controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and proactive in improving IT processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain IT systems, infrastructure, and security tools in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Manage and optimize SIEM, EDR, and endpoint security platforms.
• Perform incident detection, triage, escalation, and resolution to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Implement and enhance operational playbooks and security controls aligned with industry standards (SOC, NIST, CIS).
• Conduct risk assessments, compliance reviews, and internal audits to maintain high security posture.
• Track and report key operational metrics (uptime, MTTR, SLA compliance).
• Collaborate with internal IT, operations, and vendor teams to maintain reliability and service quality.
• Contribute to automation and process optimization initiatives (e.g., scripting, SOAR tools).

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with ISO 27001, GDPR, or HIPAA compliance frameworks.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
• Understanding of network and endpoint security principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in IT Operations and/or Security roles.
• Strong understanding of SOC, NIST, and CIS frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, and cloud security tools.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CEH, ITIL).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote, fast-paced team environment.

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs280,000.00 per month
