Responsibilities:
This IT Procurement Specialist position will be embedded in Biomed and will be responsible for all day-to-day requisition creation, shipping and receiving, and invoice review prior to sending to the Manager or Director to purchase parts, equipment, services, support, or tools for USA Health System; works closely with Biomed to create orders which comply with agreed upon quotes and contract prices for day-to-day support and projects; works with vendors, Biomed, IT, and clinical departments to ensure needs are identified, recommended, documented, communicated, managed and procurement conducted to the standard of strategic sourcing; helps maintain stanadrds of parts and equipment; assists Biomed manager and director with contracts; manages rental or loaner equipment; provides vendor evaluation and selection pricing information for a variety of products and services requested; assists with the ordering and procurement of office supplies for the team; processes and procures all quotes and purchase orders for the day-to-day operational needs of Biomed; enters quotes in Premier to be evaluated and approved the Manager or Director; processes, procures, and assesses all quotes with the Manager or Director; manages end of life and end of sale notices from vendors on biomedical equipment; keep inventory of all parts and equipment for projects and day-to-day operations assets managed by Biomed; ensures all requisitions are charged to the proper FOAPAL of the department or capital project expensing the cost before submitting for approval; ensures all vendor invoices are entered into Premier and associated to the proper FOAPAL of the department or capital project expensing the cost before submitting for approval; provides monthly reports on the inventory levels of day-to-day parts and equipment on the shelf and maintains par levels; provides monthly assessment on areas of concern with inventory managing and tracking procedures; provides reporting and analyics as needed from systems inlcuding the CMMS and Purchasing systems; regular and prompt attendance; organization and communication skills are imperative; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

Qualifications:
Associates degree in computer science, biomedical sciences, or related field as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and two years of related experience or a bachelors degree in computer science, biomedical sciences, or related field. Experience in procurement, biomed, or IT support is highly preferred.
