IT Purchasing Specialist

The IT Purchasing Analyst plays a pivotal role in managing procurement contracts across key technology categories-including hardware, software, network/telecom, and IT services. This position ensures the organization secures optimal technology solutions at competitive pricing while adhering to internal governance and external regulatory standards. The analyst collaborates cross-functionally with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to negotiate, execute, and manage contract lifecycles effectively.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement Execution: Lead the acquisition of IT assets and services, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with technology vendors. Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements to maximize value and mitigate risk.
  • Regulatory & Policy Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities conform to corporate policies, industry best practices, and applicable legal standards.
  • Contract Lifecycle Oversight: Administer end-to-end contract processes-including initiation, renewal, amendment, and termination-across IT categories.
  • Entitlement & Inventory Governance: Maintain accurate records of contract entitlements, licensing, and asset inventories to support audit readiness and operational transparency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT and business units to understand technology requirements and deliver procurement solutions that support strategic initiatives.
  • Performance Reporting & Analytics: Generate actionable reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, and vendor performance for executive stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor//'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or data analysis

  • Proven expertise in negotiating complex contracts across IT domains
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing large-scale IT contracts in hardware, software, managed services, or telecom

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of procurement methodologies and vendor management frameworks
  • Familiarity with IT systems, infrastructure, and software licensing models
  • Advanced conflict resolution and mediation skills for handling escalations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment
