An IT Specialist is a technology professional responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving an organization’s computer systems, networks, and software. They ensure that technology runs smoothly so employees can work efficiently and securely.

Job Summary

An IT Specialist manages hardware, software, and network systems. They provide technical support, resolve IT issues, install and configure systems, and help maintain cybersecurity. This role can exist in many industries such as healthcare, education, finance, and corporate offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems
  • Provide technical support to employees (onsite or remote)
  • Manage user accounts and permissions (e.g., email, system access)
  • Monitor network performance and system security
  • Perform regular system updates and backups
  • Assist with cybersecurity measures to prevent data breaches
  • Document IT procedures and maintain technical records

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (sometimes not required with experience)
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Basic understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, routers, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services)
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Certifications are a plus (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: AED85,000.00 - AED98,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 80 per week
