We’re hiring a service-oriented entry-level IT Specialist to join our IT team, ensuring our 200 employees have the technology and support needed for field and office operations. This is a hybrid position requiring some in-office work; therefore, candidates must be currently located in the Houston, Texas, area. In this role, you will provide front line IT support, helping employees resolve day-to-day technical issues while ensuring systems, devices, and user access are set up correctly and running smoothly. Responsibilities

As an IT Specialist at Ensolum, your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and they will typically include the following:

  • Respond to Tier 1 support requests promptly, aiming to resolve issues within established response time targets
  • Provision and manage user accounts in Microsoft 365 with guidance from senior team members
  • Configure and deploy laptops and equipment for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
  • Maintain accurate asset records during device setup and assignment
  • Contribute to and update the internal knowledge base to improve issue resolution and team efficiency
  • Document solutions and recurring issues to support long term fixes and continuous improvement
  • Follow standardized onboarding procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Accurately categorize and document support tickets for tracking, reporting, and escalation as needed
  • Participate in IT projects and process improvements
  • Deliver friendly, clear communication to employees with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues as appropriate

Qualifications

We’re always looking for people who are self-motivated and learning-oriented. And to be considered for this role at Ensolum, you’ll also need a few more qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including user account setup and basic administration
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems, laptops, and common business applications
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Wi-Fi connectivity, VPNs, and device troubleshooting
  • Experience with ticketing systems and documenting support requests clearly and accurately
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow structured troubleshooting processes
  • High attention to detail, especially in maintaining records and asset tracking
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to competing priorities in a timely manner
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with a customer-service-oriented approach
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow technical skills over time

Pay range: $55,000 to $60,000, depending on experience.
