Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Guy to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure of our graphic design agency. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and creative tools used by designers, including high-performance workstations and design software. This role is critical in minimizing downtime and supporting the creative team with reliable technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain Mac and Windows workstations used for design work.
- Support and troubleshoot design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings across internal systems.
- Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
- Ensure proper setup and maintenance of large-format printers, scanners, and other studio equipment.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks to protect company data.
- Monitor system performance and recommend hardware upgrades for design workstations.
- Assist with IT asset management, inventory tracking, and procurement of equipment.
- Support onboarding/offboarding by setting up or disabling user accounts and devices.
- Maintain documentation for IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Experience supporting creative or media production environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Understanding of file servers, cloud storage, and backup solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with NAS storage systems and high-speed file sharing for design teams.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 administration.
- Basic understanding of color calibration tools and print workflows.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices.
