Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT support, desktop support, or asset management roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with secure data erasure standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Intune/MDM for device management.
- Knowledge of asset lifecycle management tools.
- Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL, or equivalent) are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- We are looking for a skilled and experienced hardware troubleshooting expert specializing in laptops and MacBooks.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for securely formatting, wiping, and preparing IT assets for disposal while ensuring compliance with data security policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform secure data wiping, formatting, and degaussing of laptops, Surface Pro devices, and MacBooks.
- Ensure compliance with data security and follow the organizational asset disposal process.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all processed devices, including asset tags and device details S/N etc.
- Troubleshoot device related issues during the sanitization process.
- Coordinate with IT Asset Management and Desktop Support teams for tracking and handover of disposed assets.
- Follow company approved tools and methods (e.g., BitLocker, FileVault, third-party wiping utilities).
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace while handling devices.
- Provide periodic status updates and reports on disposal activities.
