IT Support Specialist

Position:

The IT Support Specialist role is a mid-level technical position that specializes in all things IT from Network administration and Network device management to help desk support and onsite network equipment installs. Flex Technology Group is a full-service IT Department located remotely throughout northern WI and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This position will be hired solely based upon experience in the IT industry that matches the job description. The employee must live in proximity to Green Bay, WI.

Knowledge Base Requirements:

Windows Server Setup and Troubleshooting

Microsoft Directory Services – Including permissions and group policy management

Microsoft 365 Administration and Migrations

Remote Applications/Terminal Services Deployment and Management/VPN Networks

Layer 2 and 3 Switching and Routers - Management and Installations

Firewall, UTM and Security Devices

VoIP management and configuration - Management and Installations

Position Requirements:

Advanced routing and network configurations

Active Directory construction and maintenance including OU management

Azure configuration and maintenance

Group Policy creation, assignment and troubleshooting

Windows file access and permissions

Build new, or migrate existing virtualization environments to new hardware and technologies

Implement advanced virtualization features

Cloud service implementation, migration and management

PC/Laptop configuration, maintenance, and installations

VoIP configuration, maintenance, and installations

Configure multi-site networks to use proper routing protocols for resilience and performance

Configure security appliances/firewalls to best practice security standards and leverage available security services

Day-to-Day Requirements:

Effectively represent Flex Technology Group as a value proposition and suite of offerings

Adhere to client standard operating procedures

Arrive on time or early to the office, client meetings, and training sessions

Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

Maintain professional demeanor under stress

Strong listening skills

Strong documentation

Operate effectively in a team environment

Manage time effectively and operate with minimal to no supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $62,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year (Plus bonus incentives)

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (Preferred but not required)

Work Location:

From Home in or around Green Bay, WI and surrounding areas, plus onsite at client locations
