IT Support Specialist

Overview:
This is a hybrid role - 2 days remote and 3 days in the Malvern, PA office.

The IT Support Specialist is an important member of the Support Services team and is responsible for supporting all the technological initiatives related to CubeSmart store transitions, Corporate Office support and other IT related projects. This person would administer the various hardware and software installations that make up the CubeSmart environment. The Support Specialist would be the main liaison with onsite vendors and would also serve as the IT expert for both store and corporate support. Included in the role is logistics and asset management aspect that would involve ordering, tracking, and documenting IT equipment. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, inherently collaborative, and eager to support the implementation of new technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical representative guiding the installation of technology for Store Transitions.
  • Serve as a technical contact leading the rollout of new technology for an IT project.
  • Manage the overall process of IT equipment inventory and logistics.
  • Collaborate with appropriate external vendors, as well as other internal departments to ensure completion of installation.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a variety of aspects of CubeSmart’s business and technology and leverage this knowledge to add value and drive quality.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our business stakeholders and help drive our culture of collaboration and genuine care.
  • Provide Support for corporate and satellite offices.
  • Assist with IT related projects and goal initiatives.
  • Support Conference Room AV equipment and coordinate with vendors for issues/solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with specialization in technology, mathematics or business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-3 years in an Information Technology or Help Desk/Support environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Windows desktop environment, including hardware, applications and networking aspects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, including intermediate-level Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to work as a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, maintaining productivity and accountability.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with both on-prem and cloud-based software systems
  • Experience working with Point-of-Sale (POS) and/or transactional systems with a retail or hospitality emphasis.
  • Willingness to develop a deep reservoir of institutional knowledge, and to apply this knowledge to help solve problems, provide insight, and develop solutions.
