Duties
- Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office applications, operating systems, and specialized business applications.
- Manage computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with computer management tasks such as deploying updates via SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), configuring GPO (Group Policy Objects), and maintaining Active Directory accounts.
- Support network administration activities including configuring and troubleshooting LAN (Local Area Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, VPN (Virtual Private Network) access, firewall settings, and Cisco Meraki devices.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure components such as Windows Server environments, DNS servers, and network devices to ensure security and reliability.
- Utilize ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy to document issues, track resolutions, and communicate with users effectively.
- Conduct analysis of recurring issues to identify root causes and recommend improvements for system stability and security.
- Assist with help desk operations by prioritizing requests, providing timely solutions, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network administration tasks including LAN setup, TCP/IP configuration, and network security enhancements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in providing IT support in a fast-paced environment with strong troubleshooting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of software troubleshooting across various operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11/Server), macOS, and Linux distributions.
- Hands-on experience managing computer hardware components and peripherals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an advanced level.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN setup, firewall configuration (including Meraki), and LAN/WAN architecture.
- Experience with enterprise tools like SCCM for software deployment and GPO for policy management.
- Knowledge of Active Directory user management and Windows Server administration.
- Ability to support mobile devices including smartphones and tablets across different platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
