Job Summary

Altermicro LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance, maintain IT systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day technology operations. The ideal candidate will support end-users, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and IT peripherals.
• Troubleshoot system errors, connectivity issues, and application problems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Support office applications, email systems, and cloud-based tools.
• Maintain IT documentation, support logs, and technical records.
• Assist in system upgrades, software installations, and IT projects.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and technical support.
• Ensure adherence to IT security policies and data protection standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and common business applications.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, or cloud services.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and ITSM tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent (preferred).
