IT Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups within Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve local area network (LAN) and VPN connectivity challenges.
  • Perform regular system updates, backups, and security patches to ensure 99.9% uptime.
  • Document technical incidents and resolutions in our internal ticketing system.
  • Conduct basic end-user training on new software tools and cybersecurity best practices.

Skills and Requirements

  • Technical Support: Proficiency in Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Networking: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and fix hardware/software errors quickly and calmly.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Fundamentals (highly preferred).
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written English; ability to explain tech to non-tech colleagues.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a help desk or technical support role within a professional office environment.
