IT Support Technician

What You’ll Do

  • Fulfill Google Workspace Administrator duties as directed by supervisor
  • Effectively repair broken Chromebooks, screens, clamshells, batteries, etc. in a timely manner
  • Administer the Sophos Central control panel (Atlas’ antivirus and malware program)
  • Accurately maintain inventory of all technology using the Asset Essentials work order system
  • Complete required set up for employee laptops and student Chromebooks in a timely manner ensuring that each is equipped with the appropriate software, management console, and printers
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of functionality in student computer labs
  • Complete regular inspections, repairs, and updates for desktop computers, tablets/iPads, projectors, ViewBoards, printers, copiers, etc.
  • Assist with the ordering of technology supplies as directed by the IT Operations Manager
  • Maintain complete printer supplies in the IT warehouse
  • Maintain printer functionality, replace toner, staples, cleaning cartridges, and other consumables across all schools
  • Troubleshoot and repair all basic errors on Xerox high-production printers in a timely manner
  • Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned

Compensation & Schedule

  • Hourly/Non-Exempt
  • $19.50 - $22.90 per hour
  • Full Time; Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings as needed

Annual Calendar and Start Date

  • 245* work days per academic year
  • Start Date: As Soon As Possible
  • Prorated if employment begins after July 1, 2025.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to pass required background screening pursuant to CRS § 22-30.5-110.7
  • Ability to work in person for all scheduled shifts
  • Possess a basic understanding and familiarity with Chromebook repair, printer maintenance, Google Workspace
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while maintaining accountability, confidence, accuracy
  • Exceptional skillset for problem solving, organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Ability to remain professional and composed under stressful situations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with:
    • Using related software platforms and work order systems (OTRS)
    • Asset-tracking management
    • Low-voltage cabling (CCTV & data)
    • Working in a school or nonprofit setting
  • Advanced knowledge with Chromebook repair and Google Workspace Administrator privileges
  • Basic networking knowledge related to subnetting, switches, routers, waps, firewalls, etc.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently sitting, standing, walking, reaching above head, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Independently and frequently lifting and/or moving at least 50 pounds
  • Using sufficient fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination abilities
  • Clear vision abilities to include distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Adhering to the policies and procedures of Atlas Schools
