We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
IT Support Technician
to join our Information Technology team. The
IT Support Technician
provides technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, software, and related technologies across the organization. Working in a collaborative team environment, this role responds to user inquiries, diagnoses technical issues, and implements effective, best-practice solutions to ensure reliable and secure IT operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming IT-related inquiries, including answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and instructing employees on proper use of hardware and software.

Respond to support requests in person, by phone, or electronically, based on the severity and scope of the issue.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues by running diagnostic programs and applying appropriate solutions.

Set up and troubleshoot computers and user accounts, including:
-
Creating and managing users and computers in a domain environment
-
Setting up administrator access
-
Installing Microsoft Office and configuring Exchange email via Outlook and Office 365
-
Installing and configuring antivirus and endpoint protection
-
Setting up remote desktop connections, VPN access, and network printers
-
Granting server and folder access
-
Train users on the effective and secure use of computers, applications, and electronic devices.

Maintain daily performance, functionality, and reliability of computer systems.

Walk users through problem-solving steps in a calm, clear, and supportive manner.

Install, modify, repair, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LAN, WAN, and other network systems.

Perform additional duties as needed within the scope of the position.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience will be considered).

2+ years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or technical support role supporting end users in a corporate environment.

Experience supporting Windows-based desktops and laptops, including hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting.
-
Working experience with Microsoft Office, Office 365, Outlook, and Exchange.

Basic experience with Active Directory, including user and computer account management.
-
Familiarity with LAN/WAN networking concepts, VPN access, and remote desktop tools.
-
Experience installing and supporting antivirus and endpoint protection solutions preferred.
-
IT training with CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus but not required.
