IT System Engineer

The IT System Engineer is responsible for supporting a wide variety of Information Technology (IT) distributed services and systems, and for ensuring that critical business systems continue to run efficiently by providing routine and emergency maintenance and database administration.

• Maintain the distributed services and systems support process and ensure that all requests are addressed according to agreed procedures.
  
• Apply vendor released patches to operating systems and databases.
  
• Ensure that procedures are defined and executed for Event Management.
  
• Develop training material and ensure that the Event Management staff are adequately trained.
  
• Maintain databases and manage backup, access, data recovery and IT security functions.
  
• Monitor and update IT security elements.
  
• Consult with the IT Services teams and Supply Chain departments regarding user concerns.
  
• Program scripts to automate simple tasks within established standards.
  
• Help supervise, mentor and schedule the daily duties of assigned contractors.
  
• Perform security audits of Schlumberger or customer networks.
  
• Establish general security network requirements.
  
• Partner with Onsite Support and Service Managers to ensure networks and security systems are up-to-date.
  
• Comply with Schlumberger standards and procedures.

Key Competencies

• Hands-on experience with Saviynt IGA development, customization, and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of connectors, workflows, attestation, and analytics.
• Expertise in REST/SOAP web services and API integration with Saviynt.
• Experience in designing custom approval workflows and campaign/certification processes.
• Experience collaborating with OEMs on product-related issues.
• Good to have some knowledge in Java operations.
