Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position performs general maintenance and janitorial duties to support a clean, safe, and efficient facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks as assigned
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean and restock breakrooms and bathrooms
- Empty chip bins and trash cans in the shop area
- Assist with minor repairs and upkeep
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Basic problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and seek assistance when appropriate
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required
Independent Action:
- Performs duties with a moderate degree of independence
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and know when to seek guidance
Working Conditions:
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals
- Occasionally works outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physical Requirements:
- Long periods of walking and standing
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
