Janitor

Position Description:

This position is responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the facility. Duties include emptying trash, wiping down surfaces, maintaining restrooms, light sweeping and mopping, and keeping common areas neat and organized. The role involves routine cleaning tasks through the day to ensure the building remains clean, orderly, and presentable.

• Perform light cleaning duties through the facility
• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling daily
• Clean and and sanitize common areas, including breakrooms, restrooms, and hallways
• Wipe down surfaces, tables and high-touch areas
• Sweep, mop, or spot-clean floors as needed
• Restock restroom supplies
• Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is required
• Ensure all assigned areas are kept neat, organized, and presentable
• Follow safety guidelines and report any maintenance issues

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Perform routine cleaning tasks - Empty trash, wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and restroom upkeep Safety - Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning products and supplies Attention to detail - Strong attention to detail and ability to to notice areas that need cleaning or restocking Time-Management - Time-management skills to complete daily tasks efficiently Self-motivated - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable - Reliability and consistent attendance Physical ability - Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 25lbs throughout the shift
