JANITOR "Part-Time" In Christopher, IL

We are OMS (Office Management Services) We specialize in professional commercial janitorial cleaning with over 30 years' experience, 70 cleaning locations in over 40 counties in Southern Illinois we strive for and take pride in providing consistent professional janitorial cleaning.

We currently have an opening in Christopher, Illinois 5 nights; this position is part-time

Christopher : Mon, Tues, Wed, Thus, Fri, 6:00p - 11pm (4 hours per night)

*** 20 hours total per week (Paid weekly)

This work includes but not limited to the following: detailed dusting, cleaning fingerprints off the windows and glass, disinfecting all touch surfaces, removing trash, cleaning restrooms, detailed sweeping/vacuuming, mopping and etc.

As a Janitorial/Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both employees and visitors.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a janitor/custodian role, focused on building upkeep, a keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative.

• Applicants ‘MUST’ have dependable/reliable transportation to work.
• Applicants ‘MUST’ maintain a working cell phone! (WE DO USE a Phone app w/GPS for clock in and out.)

Janitorial/Custodian duties and responsibilities:

(This is basic custodian/ janitorial cleaning work for a commercial building including but not limited to)

• Clean the interior of the building to ensure that spaces are prepared for the next shift.
• Disinfect commonly used items like counters, railings, lobby chairs, door handles, desks, office tools and phones
• Empty all trash and replacing can liners
• Vacuum carpet, sweep and mop floors
• Clean and maintain workspaces, break rooms, offices and restocking paper products, soaps and sanitizers.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and stock
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Dust furniture and fixtures
• Stock and maintain supply in rooms
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed

Janitorial/Custodian skills and qualifications:

• Good time-management skills
• Good communication skills
• Proven experience as custodian/janitor or in a similar role
• Some knowledge of using industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Ability to lift and move at least 10/15 pounds
• Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces
• Good organization skills
• Some knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them
• Some knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
