Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the overall safety and appearance of our workplace, creating a positive experience for employees, visitors, and clients alike.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Use specialized cleaning equipment such as buffers and floor polishers to maintain floors in pristine condition.
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, window washing, and restroom sanitation to uphold health standards.
• Maintain supplies by restocking paper products, soaps, and cleaning agents as needed.
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting repair needs to facilities management.
• Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects that require specialized skills like floor care or custodial services.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including floor buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is advantageous.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and safety procedures related to custodial work.
• Previous porter or facilities support experience is a plus for understanding the broader scope of building upkeep.
