Xplicit Technologies, LLC is seeking two dependable Janitorial Technicians to support the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Foreign Disease Weed Science Research Unit (FDWSRU) at Fort Detrick, Maryland.

This position supports a secure federal research environment where cleanliness, professionalism, and adherence to safety procedures are critical. Work Locations

• 1301 Ditto Avenue, Fort Detrick, MD 21702
• 374 Beasley Drive, Fort Detrick, MD 21702

The facilities total approximately 7,500 square feet and include laboratory-adjacent areas, corridors, locker rooms, and other controlled spaces.

Schedule

• One day per week
• Daytime hours coordinated with USDA personnel
• Approximately 2–4 hours per shift
• Flexible scheduling within facility requirements

Responsibilities

Duties include:

• Emptying trash and replacing liners
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Dusting and wiping surfaces
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, showers, and locker rooms
• Disinfecting high-touch areas
• Maintaining cleanliness in common areas and corridors
• Following all site-specific cleaning and safety procedures
• Performing periodic deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled

Equipment and Supplies

All cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment are provided by the Government.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Professional demeanor and excellent work ethic
• Ability to comply with security, safety, and access requirements
• Must be eligible to pass federal background and suitability screening
• Ability to work as part of a two-person team

Compensation

• $20.00–$22.00 per hour
• Pay based on experience and qualifications
