Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and equipment
• Conduct routine custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces
• Carry out specialized floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance
• Maintain facilities by performing light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for plumbing or electrical issues
• Support industrial cleaning efforts when necessary, including cleaning large machinery or storage areas
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others
• Assist with basic residential painting or minor repairs as needed to support overall facility upkeep

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and custodial equipment operation
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and safety procedures
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly
• Prior experience with industrial cleaning or porter duties is a plus
