Position Summary:

The Janitorial Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in Plex 8 and Plex 10. This position focuses on daily spot cleaning, setting up and organizing lunch areas, and ensuring all areas are properly cleaned after lunch. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, and takes pride in keeping shared spaces clean and orderly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily spot cleaning of Plex 8 and Plex 10, including restrooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces.

• Set up and organize lunch areas each day to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for staff.

• Clean up after lunch, including wiping tables, disposing of trash, and resetting the area for afternoon use.

• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed throughout the day.

• Maintain supplies for cleaning and lunchroom organization.

• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Facilities Supervisor.

• Provide friendly, professional service and support to building occupants and visitors.

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or porter experience preferred.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Friendly and professional demeanor; enjoys working in a team environment.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
