About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptionally talented Japanese Head Chef to lead our culinary operations in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will bring authentic Japanese culinary expertise, creativity, and leadership to deliver a world-class dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the kitchen operations for a premium Japanese restaurant.
- Develop innovative and authentic Japanese menus, including sushi, sashimi, robata, teppanyaki, and modern fusion dishes.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain the highest culinary and hygiene standards.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Manage food cost, inventory control, and kitchen budget efficiently.
- Collaborate with management on seasonal menu updates, promotions, and restaurant concepts.
- Maintain compliance with all food safety and HACCP standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, with at least 3 years in a Head Chef or Executive Chef role.
- Proven experience in fine dining or 5-star hospitality settings.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional and contemporary Japanese cooking techniques.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Candidates must be currently based in Qatar or other GCC countries and willing to relocate to Kuwait.
