Job Description

We are seeking Java Developers who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems that support ColendiBank’s digital banking platforms. This role will contribute to the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions while helping to shape the technical foundation and engineering of Türkiye’s AI first digital-native deposit bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end software solutions across a wide range of projects, from design and implementation to integration and delivery.
• Influence backend architecture by defining technology stack choices, improving development workflows, and promoting clean code principles and engineering standards.
• Establish and uphold non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and reliability to ensure production-grade software quality.
• Continuously enhance and refactor existing systems to support new business requirements, user expectations, and emerging technologies.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs that follow modern development practices and ensure seamless integration with other systems and platforms.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code with a strong focus on testability and long-term scalability.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT-related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a developer within the banking sector.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java development, with a solid understanding of software architecture.
• Proven track record of building and supporting complex applications at scale in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and modern Java frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Demonstrated experience in building high-performance, multi-threaded Java applications with the ability to balance synchronous and asynchronous processing.
• Practical experience working with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as Couchbase and MongoDB, as well as ORM tools.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools, including Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Proven ability to solve complex, real-world technical problems.
• Cloud experience is a strong advantage.
• Bonus if you have experience developing backend services that support web or mobile frontends.
