A JCB Backhoe Loader Operator safely operates and maintains JCB backhoe loaders for excavation, loading, lifting, and material handling tasks on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and company policies. Key duties include performing pre-operational checks, executing various earthmoving tasks like trenching and backfilling, assisting with material movement, reporting mechanical issues, and maintaining machine records.

Responsibilities:

• Safe Machine Operation:Safely and efficiently operate the JCB backhoe loader for tasks such as excavation, trenching, backfilling, lifting, and material handling.
• Machine Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and ensure the cleanliness of the machine.
• Safety Compliance:Adhere strictly to all company Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, project-specific safety standards, and local safety regulations.
• Material Handling:Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles, as well as positioning and transporting materials on the site.
• Reporting:Promptly report any mechanical issues, damage, or necessary repairs to the maintenance team.
• Record Keeping:Maintain accurate logs of machine usage, fuel consumption, and daily operating hours.
• Site Support:Assist site teams with other duties when the equipment is not in operation.
• Required Skills & Qualifications -
• Technical Skills:Basic understanding of construction processes and excellent operating knowledge of JCB backhoe loaders.
• Safety Focus:A strong commitment to safety and an understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various conditions, including different weather.
• Communication & Teamwork:Strong oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Certifications: A valid driver's license and any required heavy equipment operating licenses or safety certifications.
• Experience:Prior experience operating heavy equipment is often a requirement.
• must have 4 years experience.
