Job Description – Welding Technician (High-Pressure Pipelines & Boilers)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welding Technician with proven experience in high-pressure welding applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing precise and high-quality welding works on boiler tubes, fire drums, stainless steel water pipes, and black steel pipelines.

This role requires advanced knowledge of professional welding techniques (including 4G and 6G positions), strong practical skills in repair and fabrication, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks on boiler tubes, fire drums, stainless steel pipes, and black steel pipelines.
• Execute welding in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead), including advanced 4G and 6G welding techniques.
• Carry out fabrication, installation, and repair of high-pressure piping systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and welding procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ASME standards and safety protocols.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, precision, and durability.
• Support mechanical teams during boiler maintenance, retubing, and piping modification works.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder in high-pressure environments (boilers, tanks, pipelines).
• Proficiency in 4G and 6G welding (explained below).
• Strong knowledge of welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and black steel materials.
• Ability to operate welding equipment (TIG, ARC, MIG) safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with welding inspection methods (NDT knowledge is a plus).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
