Job Placement Coordinator – Contractor Engagement

Position Summary

The Job Placement Coordinator – Contractor Engagement works under the direction and supervision of the Employer Relations & Placement Manager and is responsible for supporting and expanding the 548 Foundation’s network of industry partners. This role focuses on proactive outreach, relationship management, and coordinating employer engagement efforts that reinforce the Foundation’s placement strategy. By executing outreach and engagement activities and supporting partnership pipeline development, the Coordinator strengthens employer confidence in our programs and helps drive long-term hiring partnerships that lead to sustainable careers for students.

Key Responsibilities

Student Job Placement & Employer Engagement

  • Work under the supervision of the Employer Relations & Placement Manager to execute contractor outreach and job placement efforts.
  • Support relationship-building with contractors, unions, and trade partners in solar, construction, and clean energy industries.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for contractors seeking to hire 548 Foundation graduates, escalating leads and inquiries as appropriate.
  • Coordinate hiring events, site visits, interviews, and employer engagement activities as directed.
  • Promote the value of 548 Foundation training programs and students’ skills to prospective employers.

Placement Pipeline Coordination

  • Maintain the placement database of employer partners, job opportunities, and student outcomes.
  • Assist in aligning employer hiring needs with program training outcomes in partnership with the Employer Relations & Placement Manager.
  • Track placement and engagement metrics and support reporting activities for internal leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in workforce development, business, human resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in job placement, workforce development, recruiting, or contractor relations.
  • Strong understanding of or network within the construction, clean energy, or union sectors preferred.
  • Proficiency in CRM or pipeline tracking systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable with outreach and learning industry language.
  • Self-starter who can work independently while following established direction and strategy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
