Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both commercial and industrial electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires hands-on experience with various electrical systems, including high and low voltage installations, as well as proficiency in using both hand and power tools. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations meet safety standards and comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks
• Ensure compliance with NEC regulations during all installations and repairs
• Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion
• Perform renovation tasks that require electrical modifications or upgrades
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols

Skills

• Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial settings
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage systems
• Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters
• Background in construction site work, including frame carpentry and maintenance person tasks
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
