Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings using schematics and technical drawings.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately.
- Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize automated processes.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for electrical installations or repairs requiring metal fabrication.
- Conduct regular facilities maintenance to ensure all electrical components meet safety standards and operational requirements.
- Supervise apprentices or junior team members during projects, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance history, and equipment status.
- Collaborate with other trades such as mechanical teams or facility managers to coordinate complex projects or repairs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes while delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, mechanical principles, and facilities maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Proficiency with testing tools such as ohmmeters and familiarity with welding techniques for electrical installations.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Supervising experience is preferred to lead projects or mentor junior staff effectively.
- Customer service orientation with a focus on safety, quality work, and client satisfaction.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks using CMMS platforms for work order management.
