Journeyman Electrician / Foreman

Since 1993, Pro Circuit, Inc. has been a leading electrical and low-voltage contractor and service company in the Greater Kansas City Area. Pro Circuit employs electricians and technicians who have knowledge and expertise in every aspect of electrical and low-voltage work. We've wired hundreds of buildings and industrial sites and installed energy-saving lighting products in over 4,300 facilities nationwide. Due to company growth, we are currently looking to add Journeyman Electricians and Foreman to the team.

Tradesman with an Associate degree (2 years college) and a minimum of 2 years experience in commercial/industrial electrical contracting environment or 6 years experience as an electrician required. Journeyman License is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Responsible to ensure the jobs assigned are completed according to instructions and specifications within the time period specified.

• Perform all duties, and follow instructions, as assigned by Foreman and/or Project Manager in a timely accurate manner.
• Perform all duties correctly the first time with each job and have zero re-work.
• Required to know and follow all NEC and/or city code, OSHA and manufacturer codes and safety guidelines with every job assignment.
• Ensure all safety rules and regulations are followed at all times.
• Ensure all tools or equipment being used are in proper, safe working order. After using a tool, clean it and put it in proper storage and ensure the tool is secured.
• Report any problems, violations or irregularities to the Foreman or Project Manager immediately.
• Return any unused tools or materials to the appropriate location.
• Keep work areas neat and clean at all times.
• At the end of a shift, ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and secured.
• Complete-time cards daily and note hours worked for which jobs. Completed, accurate timecards are to be turned in to the Foreman at the end of the workweek.
• Utilize your knowledge and skill to teach Apprentices that you may be assigned to work with, the proper and most efficient method for accomplishing the tasks assigned, while maintaining the most productive work environment.
• Attend all company-sponsored safety meetings and training classes.

Physical Requirements:

• Working at least 40 hours/week, when available. Scheduled hours per day may vary depending upon projects.
• Work overtime when required.
• Standing and climbing. Kneeling, lifting, reaching above shoulders, and bending (90°).
• Twisting (180°) and walking.
• Lifting 0 to 100 lbs.
• Repetitive use of hands such as continuous grasping and fine motor coordination for receptacle installation and wire terminations.
• Vision adequate for blueprint reading and color coding for wire identification
• Balance adequate for continuous climbing of ladders, scaffolds, lifts and etc.
• Special hazards may include exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and explosive hazards.

Required experience:

• Journeyman Electrician: 4 Years +
• Ideal Foreman Candidate: We are seeking an experienced Foreman with 10 or more years in the field to lead field operations on large-scale commercial construction projects valued at $10 million and above. This role requires a strong leader with extensive field experience who can manage crews, coordinate schedules, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
• Equivalent combinations of experience, leadership, and commercial project exposure may be considered with strong qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
