Journeyman HVAC Technician - Chiller Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled (HVAC) Technician specializing in chiller systems to join our growing team and deliver exceptional service across commercial and industrial properties. This energetic role involves diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems to ensure optimal indoor climate control. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, experience with large-tonnage systems and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Duties

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, ventilation equipment, and air- and water-cooled chillers (centrifugal, screw, and scroll systems)
• Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Work with cooling towers, pumps, and chilled water systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all performed tasks.
• Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC equipment to ensure continuous operation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience
• Proven chiller service experience is required
• EPA Universal Certification
• Completion of union apprenticeship program preferred.
• Ability to work an on-call rotation as required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Must be able to lift over 50lbs.
• Either be a current member of the UA or eligible for membership through the UA for hiring process.
