Journeyman Plumber

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and drainage components on construction sites or existing structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and other construction tools to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry or HVAC teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when working with welding or at heights.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.

Experience

• Proven field service experience in commercial or residential construction plumbing projects.
• Strong understanding of construction site procedures, safety standards, and building codes related to plumbing.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other related construction tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and basic carpentry is a plus for versatile project support.
• Experience with remodeling or handyman tasks involving plumbing or general maintenance is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repair tasks.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to operate vehicles required for transporting materials may be preferred.
