Junior AC Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

The responsibility of the AC Maintenance Technician entails installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems and related equipment for the clients of a facilities services company. Key duties involve efficiently prioritizing and scheduling work orders to avoid peak times, while maintaining a consistent workflow. This role includes proactive troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, with a strong focus on safety compliance and service quality. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, organizational skills, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
• Conduct site surveys, generate reports, and provide time and cost estimates for corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose faults, prepare technical reports, and carry out repairs upon approval to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, replaced parts, equipment specifications, and manuals.
• Plan daily and weekly work schedules, update service tickets, priorities, and job status.
• Prepare preventive maintenance checklists and schedules indicating scope of work for each type of AC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to approved schedules and priorities.
• Provide technical advice to clients and recommend required repairs or additional services when needed.
• Maintain records of spare parts, vendors, and inventory related to AC maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures at all client sites.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and service enhancement.
• Assist in training technical helpers according to company procedures and technical standards.

Skills:

• Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems such as split units, package units, ducted units, FCUs, AHUs, chillers, ventilation systems, and exhaust systems.
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in AC systems.
• Technological Proficiency: Basic knowledge of using mobile applications, Excel, and maintenance systems for reporting and job updates.
• Attention to Detail: Thorough and detail-oriented approach to preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Time Management: Good time estimation and task management skills.
• Written Communication: Ability to write clear & detailed technical maintenance reports with recommendations and communicate with clients and management.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
• Planning & Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and service visits efficiently.
• Driving Skills: Valid driving license is required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in Air Conditioning / HVAC.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in AC maintenance.
• Experience in facilities management or maintenance companies is preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle client sites.

Pay: ﷼2,500.00 - ﷼3,000.00 per month
