Junior Accountant

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in various financial tasks such as maintaining financial records, managing accounts, and supporting the accounting team in day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger with accurate posting of financial transactions.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor and customer accounts, and ensure timely payments and collections.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records and resolve any discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Help in preparing financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.
• Payroll Assistance: Support the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate employee payments.
• Data Entry: Input and verify financial data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
• Audit Support: Help in organizing documentation and records for internal and external audits.
• Assist Senior Accountants: Provide support to senior accounting staff in various accounting tasks and projects.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Prior experience or internships in accounting is preferred but not required.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Work Environment:
This is an office-based position with standard working hours. Some flexibility may be available depending on the company’s requirements.
