Junior Accountant

About the company:

Usim is a mobile application that allows you to purchase and manage Esim data plans for global travel.

What we expect from you:

• Prepare and accurately post journal entries for daily business transactions, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and payroll.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented, authorized, and recorded.
• Assist with the month-end closing process by preparing necessary journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced.
• Help prepare financial reports and statements for management review.
• Maintain organized and accessible financial files and records.
• Support senior accountants and the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience is required.
• Proven, hands-on experience in preparing and posting journal entries is a must.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (debits and credits).
• Proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Xero, QuickBooks) is a plus.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic.

Working hours:

• As per Kuwait labor laws: 8 hours per day or 48 hours per week.
• 1-hour break as per Kuwait labor laws.
• We don't judge by hours worked. Instead, we judge by work output.
