Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have around 2 years of accounting experience and will support day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist in financial reporting. This role requires good analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accuracy of financial records.
• Prepare and post routine journal entries.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes including invoice verification and payment follow-ups.
• Perform basic account reconciliations and report discrepancies to senior team members.
• Assist in monitoring expenses, payroll inputs, and other financial transactions.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Support the finance team during internal and external audits.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports and schedules.
• Maintain accounting records in ERP systems.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in Kuwait).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred) and good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills
