Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP) Management: Own the full AP cycle, including verifying invoices, coding expenses to the correct accounts, obtaining internal approvals, and scheduling payments.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with medical suppliers and service providers; resolve billing discrepancies and manage 1099 reporting.
• Daily Transaction Entries: Record all accounts receivable and banking activity into the accounting system with high accuracy.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts and corporate credit cards to ensure books are "audit-ready."
• Expense Tracking: Monitor corporate expenses and ensure all receipts are captured and categorized in accordance with company policy.
• Medical Billing Support: Coordinate with the front office to ensure patient payments are posted correctly and reconcile daily merchant reports.
• Financial Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive and organized digital filing system for all financial records, ensuring compliance and easy retrieval for the Staff Accountant.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience, with a heavy emphasis on Accounts Payable. Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is a significant plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Bilingual Skills: Bilingual English/Mandarin is highly preferred, to support our diverse team and international patient base.
• Core Competencies: Extreme attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines, and a high level of discretion regarding sensitive financial and patient data.
