Job Summary:

To oversee and manage accounting operations, ensure accuracy of financial data, and support financial planning for the Generator Engine Company. The role requires handling accounts independently with minimal supervision, while coordinating closely with sales, procurement, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review invoices, purchase orders, supplier payments, and customer collections.
• Monitor inventory and spare parts accounting related to generator engines.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, taxation, and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, suppliers, and internal departments as required.
• Implement and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Contribute to process optimization within the finance department.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in trading, engineering, or the generator engine industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, VAT compliance, and reporting practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
