Junior Accountant - LOGISTICS TRANSPORT

We are currently seeking JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT who has extensive experience in accounting - logistics transportation to join our team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE.

Position: JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Job Description:

As an Accountant (Junior / Mid), you will play a key role in preparing and managing invoices, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining proper financial records. You will also support month-end closing activities and assist in financial reporting. This position is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of relevant UAE experience who are looking to further develop their accounting career.

Please note that the role is based in our office headquarters at Umm Al Quwain. Previous experience in the construction, heavy equipment rental or trucking industry will be an advantage to you.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in managing the invoicing process, including the creation, distribution, and tracking of invoices.

· Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.

· Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.

· Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

· Carry out bank reconciliations, related transactions, and report Cash balances on a daily basis.

· Petty cash reimbursement and storing confirmations from clients.

· Intercompany transactions are recorded and reconciled.

· Assist in the preparation of tax returns and financial audits.

· Assist with the record retention procedure, which involves certain accounting reports and data.

· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· MINIMUM 1-2 YEARS of experience in accounting or finance within the transport and logistics industries.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with specific knowledge on transport and logistics industries.

· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
