Junior AP Accountant

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage the payment process, including scheduling and coordinating payments to vendors, while maintaining a healthy cash flow.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, addressing any inquiries or issues in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts payable transactions and preparing journal entries as necessary.
• Provide analysis and reporting on accounts payable metrics, such as aging reports.
• Monitor and control expenses within the accounts payable function to ensure alignment with budget.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and operation department, to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or any related field.
• ACCA or CA is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
