Junior Architect

The Role
Job Title: Junior Architect Location: Dubai, UAE Company: Urban Vision Job Purpose We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Architect to join our multidisciplinary engineering consultancy team. The successful candidate will support senior architects and engineers in developing design packages, from initial concept through to construction documentation, ensuring all projects align with Dubai Municipality (DM), DDA, and Civil Defense regulations. Key Responsibilities • Design Support: Assist in the preparation of architectural designs, working drawings, and 3D renderings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. • Technical Documentation: Produce detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans using Revit and AutoCAD, BIM360. • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with UAE building codes, accessibility standards, and zoning bylaws. Assist in preparing submission packages for authorities (DM, DDA, DEWA). • Coordination: Liaise with structural, MEP, and civil engineering teams to integrate technical requirements into the architectural design. • Site Visits: Attend site inspections to ensure construction aligns with approved drawings and to assist in resolving on-site design queries. • Material Selection: Research and suggest building materials and finishes that meet project budgets and sustainability goals.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. • Experience: 3-5 years of experience, preferably within a consultancy or construction firm in the UAE. • Software Proficiency: * Expert: Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign). • Preferred: Rhino, SketchUp, or V-Ray/Enscape for high-quality rendering. • Knowledge: Familiarity with the "Dubai Building Code" and the permitting processes of local authorities. • Attributes: Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude toward problem-solving, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
