Junior Architectural Designer

We are seeking an Junior Architectural Designer to join our team! This position is an opportunity to develop new skills and advance your career. You will participate as a team member in the technical development of schematic, design development, and construction documents.

This position requires the candidate to work on a project team. Candidate must be proficient in both oral and written communication, be able to read and interpret construction drawings, prepare accurate detailed drawings from data obtained from field surveys, operate a computer using AutoCAD, develop drawings for architecture projects, and comply with company drafting standards for drawing preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Report daily to Mattituck, Long Island office (ZIP 11952)
• Complete field surveys to record the existing conditions of new projects.
• Collaborate with the principal architect to develop schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Documentation in CAD of existing conditions based off initial measurements and photos.
• Daily correspondence with team to provide updates on status of all current projects.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture, a drafting degree, or a related field
• 0-1 years experience in the field of architecture, or a related field
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
