Job Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Junior Barista with a passion for coffee and exceptional customer service to join our luxury cafe team. This entry-level position is focused on developing core barista skills, maintaining the coffee station's cleanliness, and delivering high-quality beverages with a consistently friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Skillfully prepare and serve a limited range of hot and cold beverages (e.g., filter coffee, basic espresso drinks, teas) according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Practice and develop skills in milk foaming and texturing to achieve the perfect consistency for lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based drinks.
• Learn and practice the proper techniques for grinding, dosing, and tamping espresso grounds to ensure optimal extraction and shot quality.
• Maintain a continuously clean and sanitized work area, including the espresso machine, grinder, counter, and surrounding service areas, adhering strictly to hygiene standards.
• Assist the senior team with routine cleaning and maintenance of coffee equipment (e.g., purging steam wands, cleaning portafilters, wiping down machine).
• Ensure all coffee beans, milks, syrups, cups, lids, and other beverage supplies are properly stocked and organized at the station throughout the shift.
• Acquire and maintain a basic knowledge of the café's menu, coffee blends, tea varieties, and retail items to answer general customer questions.
• Prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours to ensure drinks are prepared quickly without sacrificing quality or presentation.
• Communicate clearly with the service and kitchen teams to manage the flow of orders and support a positive, cooperative work environment.
• Be mindful of portion control and actively work to minimize waste of ingredients, including coffee, milk, and paper products.
• Ensure personal presentation and customer service reflect the refined and luxurious environment of the café.
• Demonstrate a genuine willingness to learn advanced brewing methods, latte art, and new menu items from senior baristas and the Head Barista.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience (2 years) working in a high-quality café, hospitality, or fast-paced customer service environment is highly advantageous.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• A demonstrably positive, energetic, and polite attitude with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and thrive in a standing, fast-paced work environment.
• Strong commitment to personal hygiene and an understanding of food safety and sanitation principles relevant to beverage preparation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ﷼2,300.00 - ﷼2,800.00 per month
