We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or someone with limited experience in a similar role. The Junior Chartered Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Finance function through accurate financial record-keeping, timely reporting, and adherence to compliance requirements. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, analytical ability, and a strong understanding of accounting principles, with accountability for maintaining financial integrity while assisting in process efficiency and organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform routine bookkeeping tasks including maintenance of general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.
Audit & Compliance
- Participate in internal and external audits by providing required documentation, explanations, and support.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of GST, TDS, income tax returns, and other statutory obligations in line with regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, taxation rules, and compliance practices to ensure organizational adherence.
Analysis & Reporting Support
- Support senior finance team members in analysing financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Contribute to process enhancements and efficiency improvements in financial operations.
General Finance Support
- Provide assistance in special assignments and projects as directed by the Finance Manager or Senior Chartered Accountants.
- Support the overall Finance team in achieving departmental goals and organizational objectives.
Skills & Competencies
- Recently qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Ability to assist in GST, TDS, income tax return filings, and other regulatory compliance activities.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and analytical ability.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location
- Trivandrum, Willingness to travel extensively across India as the situation demands.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
