Junior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated junior data engineer with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in data engineering, pipelines, and database management. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a solid foundation in data tools, and the willingness to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets for analysis and reporting
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to ensure smooth data flow
• Support in maintaining data quality, governance, and documentation
• Troubleshoot issues in data workflows and propose improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or related field
• 1+ year of experience as a Data Engineer (or in a related role)
• Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end ETL pipelines using Python, Airflow, DBT, and API integrations
• Extract and transform data from multiple sources including Salesforce, APIs, and relational databases into BigQuery and Snowflake
• Optimize data models and warehouse performance, reducing query latency and improving scalability
• Build and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and Looker Studio
• Automate reporting and workflows using Python, SQL, and Excel VBA to reduce manual effort
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and pipeline reliability, maintaining high uptime
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business and operational decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support cloud data infrastructure on GCP and AWS (BigQuery, Dataflow, S3, Lambda, Glue)
• Follow best practices for version control, deployment, and documentation using Git and Docker
