Residential / High-Rise Towers – Abu Dhabi

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Experience Required: 2–5 years of experience preferred, especially in building services, residential projects, BOQ preparation, or MEP design office support.

Salary Range: AED 4,000 – 7,000 per month, depending on experience, software skills, BOQ capability, and UAE project exposure.

Entry-level candidates may be considered at a lower range if technically promising.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to support our design office team for residential towers and high-rise building projects in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will assist in electrical design coordination, BOQ preparation, drawing review, quantity take-off, load schedules, material schedules, and technical documentation.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, willing to learn, and capable of supporting senior engineers in preparing coordinated and accurate project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior electrical engineers in reviewing electrical drawings and design documents.
• Prepare and update BOQ, quantity take-off, and material schedules.
• Support preparation of electrical load schedules, lighting layouts, power layouts, containment layouts, SLDs, and technical schedules.
• Assist in checking design coordination between electrical, architectural, mechanical, ELV, and fire alarm systems.
• Review drawings for basic technical errors, missing information, and coordination issues.
• Prepare comparison sheets for materials, suppliers, and subcontractor quotations under senior engineer supervision.
• Assist in preparing tender documents, IFC package updates, and technical submissions.
• Support authority submission documentation where required.
• Coordinate with draftsmen to update drawings as per consultant, authority, or internal comments.
• Maintain project files, technical registers, BOQ revisions, and drawing tracking logs.
• Support site/design coordination by preparing technical clarifications and document summaries.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical design, MEP consultancy, contracting, or developer-side technical office.
• Basic knowledge of residential tower electrical systems.
• Experience in BOQ preparation and quantity take-off is required.
• Basic knowledge of lighting, power, containment, DB schedules, load schedules, earthing, and ELV coordination.
• Good AutoCAD skills are required.
• Revit, Dialux, Excel, and basic electrical calculation knowledge are preferred.
• Strong Excel skills for BOQ, comparison sheets, and tracking logs.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn Abu Dhabi authority requirements and high-rise residential design standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with residential buildings or tower projects in UAE/GCC.
• Ability to read architectural and MEP drawings.
• Familiarity with ADDC/TAQA, ADM, Civil Defence, or Estidama requirements is an advantage.
• Good document control and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and support multiple projects.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per hour
